CROSS SAFETY STATEMENT
Cross Refrigeration has a clear, unequivocal commitment to
safety throughout the entire company.
We recognise that we have a ‘duty of care’
and we wish it to be known that we have a very positive
attitude towards the safety, health and welfare of all
our employees.
From our warehouse staff to our engineers to our office based
staff, right through to senior management we are constantly
striving to make the workplace a safer place. We are constantly
training and educating our staff in the field of health and
safety and this has been reflected in our excellent safety
record over the last number of years!
We further recognise and acknowledge that we have an
obligation to observe the statutory requirements placed
upon us by the safety, health and welfare at work act
and other statutory instruments. It is our objective
to provide a safe working environment for all employees
and to provide for their welfare, in so far as is reasonably
possible.
We constantly strive to identify the safety needs of
employees and to provide such training as is necessary
for their safety, health and welfare. We review and
monitor our safety practices on a regular basis so that
changes may be made, as may be required by legislation.
All Cross Refrigeration employees are regularly reminded
that they have a duty under the 1989 safety, Health
and welfare at work act, to take reasonable care for
the safety, health and welfare of themselves and other
persons, who may be affected by their actions and/or
omissions at work.
Cross Refrigeration Directors, functional managers,
department supervisors and foremen share with Directors
the responsibility to provide administrative support,
counselling, advice and expert inputs for the establishment
of organisation and programmes to promote the attainment
of high operating safety standards within their areas
of control.
All managers and supervisors have special day-to-day
responsibilities to ensure full compliance with the
Directors' safety policy.
Whether on the road, on customer’s property or back
at base, we strive to do everything possible to make the workplace
a safer place for everyone!
